Researchers at the University of Kansas in Lawrence studied DNA collected from Phillippine tarsiers and discovered a new subspecies of the small, big-eyed primate on Dinagat and Mindanao Islands. Could bison once again roam the Great Plains? Wildlife managers at Yellowstone National Park are working on plan to reintroduce disease-free bison to their native habitat. But the Montana Stockgrowers Association remains opposed, arguing that even brucellosis-free bison could damage the livestock industry.
