Come to the Strawberry Hill Wayside
at low tide and you'll be rewarded with close encounters with sea
urchins, starfish and green anemones. You can also watch dozens
of harbor seals resting on the mussel and barnacle encrusted
rocks. But make sure to monitor the tide levels while you're
exploring. The path from the rocks to the beach is cut off as the
tide rises.
To discover the best times to visit, check the tide
tables provided by Oregon State University Hatfield's Marine
Science Center.
